Unconditional prison for a mother who attacked a CPS leaderAbout a year back a 36 year old mother attacked the leader of the CPS in Finnøy in Rogaland county (in the south-west of Norway) with a hammer. The municipal court in Stavanger has now sentenced her to a year in jail. In addition she has to pay a considerable sum in compensation, altogether NOK 400,000.-.
The woman who attacked the CPS leader, had tried to get back her daughter in a custory case. She did not get her child back. In the custody case it had emerged that her daughter had been naked in bed with a man in the temporary foster home where she was placed. When the mother wanted to discuss this with the CPS leader, the CPS leader had said that her daughter had taken the initiative to be in bed naked together with a boy. The attack has been found to be due to the CPS leader's testimony in the custody case.
